The departure area at the Nadi International Airport has been upgraded.
Airports Fiji Limited Chairman Faiz Khan says with at least 45% of works still to be completed for the upgrading of the Nadi International Airport, the departure lounge has been redeveloped and is now in use.
Khan says the departure lounge on the first floor of the Nadi Airport has been refurbished to world class standards.
According to Khan, about 20 outlets will be opening up next Monday.
He also says upgrading works for the project is currently 8 months delayed as the suppliers for steel did not deliver on time.
The government has invested $105 million in the refurbishment of the Nadi International Airport to cater for a larger number of visitors.
