The Fiji Airways Flying Fijians final 31 member squad for the Rugby World Cup is expected to be named later next week.
Fiji is pooled with Australia, Wales, Georgia and Uruguay in the Rugby World Cup in Japan which kicks off next month.
The Flying Fijians’ opening match in the Rugby World Cup is against the Wallabies on 21st September.
Fiji defeated Samoa 10-3 in their last game of the World Rugby Pacific Nations Cup last night.
Samoa came out firing in the first half as expected putting pressure on the Flying Fijians and making them give away a lot of penalties.
Flyhalf, Ben Volavola slotted in the first points of the game giving the Fiji a 3-nil lead.
The two teams were locked 3-all at half time.
In the second half, Semi Radradra combined well with veteran Vereniki Goneva who scored the only try in the game.
Fiji held on to the 10‑3 lead until the end.
Fiji team will now take a break from camp next week and resume the week after.
Meanwhile, Japan won the prestigious World Rugby Pacific Nations Cup title defeating USA 34-20.
