The Fiji Bureau of Statistics has received complaints of people impersonating census enumerators and collecting information from the public.
Emali Soderberg who is part of the Census Publicity Team says the reported complaints are from Namadi Heights, Raiwaqa and Samabula areas.
Soderberg says they have reported the matter to police.
She reiterates that people only allow census officers into their homes when they have produced a valid ID card that shows their name, picture, the validity and position and the government statistician’s signature.
She adds that the counting period is from the 18th of this month to the 8th of next month.
