All efforts to release Fijian peacekeepers continue

Fiji’s Ambassador-At-Large Major General Ioane Naivalurua said that all efforts to release the Fijian peacekeepers are continuing. 

The Fijian envoy who is in New York to work on the release of the Fijian peacekeepers in Syria said that talks with all authorities have been progressive. 

Republic of the Fiji Military Forces Commander Brigadier General Mosese Tikoitoga said that the team in New York has been actively working on the safe release of the Fijian troops. 

Tikoitoga said that they are confident that Ambassador Naivalurua and other diplomatic missions that are relevant to this process will secure the safe release of the 45 Fijian UN peacekeeping troops.
