A fifteen year old boy of Navua died in a fire incident at Togoru Road in Tokotoko this morning.
A relative of the victim told Legend News that the family were sleeping when the fire started at about three this morning.
He says that altogether there are seven family members living in the two bedroom house.
According to the relative the parents were able to save their other four children but unfortunately the victim got trapped.
Two of the children received injuries and are admitted at the CWM hospital.
According to the relative the boy will be cremated tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the National Fire Authority says they received a call at around 3.41am and upon arrival they saw the corrugated iron and timber house fully engulfed in fire.
Chief Fire Officer, Qionilau Moceitai says that the fire team used deliveries of water from fire trucks to extinguish the fire where a team from the Pacific Harbour Fire Station was also involved.
Moceitai says the owner of the house raised am alarm after he woke up by the intense heat and smoke in the house.
He says that the Police and NFA are investigating the incident to determine the cause of fire.
