Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori

The upgrading works of Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori has been confirmed to begin in January next year.

This has been revealed by the Nausori Town Council Chief Executive officer, Akhtar Ali.

Ali says the Park will not be closed for any tournaments and work on both pavilions will be done in stages.

He has also revealed that the Chandar Dip Sharma Lounge will also be developed into a corporate lounge later.

Fijivillage had earlier reported Ali saying they will be spending about $350,000 for the repair works.

There have been times when lights have gone out during soccer matches at Ratu Cakobau Park.

He had earlier assured that the Nausori Town Council will ensure necessary work is carried out to see that it does not happen in the future.
