A heavy rain warning is in force for Suva, Navua, Sigatoka, Sawani, Nausori, Naqali, Vunidawa, Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Yasawa and Northern Lau group.
The Nadi Weather Office says a heavy rain alert remains in force for the rest of Fiji.
The Weather Office says a Tropical Depression was located North of the Fiji Group and is gradually moving Southwards, and is expected to pass just West of Fiji.
It says the associated trough of low pressure with cloud and rain will affect parts of the Fiji group from later tonight.
