Villagers of Naboro, Sovi Bay, Batiri and Lomawai in Sigatoka and Nawai in Nadi are the proud recipients of the new road side stalls that have been officially handed over by Minister for Industry and Trade, Faiyaz Koya.
62-year-old Jojivini Taoba of Naboro Village was one of the recipients and acknowledged government for providing her and her community with a proper structure that members of Naboro Village can use to sell their produce.
The first road side stalls in Vakabalea, Navua were handed over by Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama earlier this year.
This handover is a program government expects to grow every year reaching more vendors across the country, giving them facilities they need to run their businesses well and to operate safely.
Meanwhile, a semi‑permanent stall has cost $21,000 while a portable stall has cost $7,000 and Ministry of Trade has funded the project.
