Flood warning in force for low lying areas near Vatukacevaceva to Rakiraki Town

Path of Tropical Disturbance as of 8am today (31st Mar 2018)

A flood warning is in force for low lying areas near Vatukacevaceva to Rakiraki Town.

There is also a flood warning for small streams and low lying areas from Nasivi to Tavua Town.

A flood alert also remains in force for low lying areas and areas adjacent to major rivers in Taveuni, Vanua Levu and Viti Levu.

The low pressure system located to the West of Fiji in the earlier this morning has been upgraded to a Tropical Disturbance.

The Nadi Weather Office says it is gradually intensifying, moving southeast at about 11 kilometres per hour.

It is expected to pass just Southwest of Fiji.

A heavy rain warning remains in force for the whole of the Fiji group.
