5 people charged with importation of illegal drugs released on bail

Five people who have been charged with importation of illegal drugs have been released on bail by the Suva Magistrates Court.

Ali Hassan, Visek Sharma, Francis Devi, Zahran Ali and Nilesh Prasad are charged with one count each of importation of illegal drugs.

It is alleged the five imported 222.68 grams of methamphetamine between the 5th and 21st of this month.

The case has been adjourned till the 23rd of October.
