Water supply issues at the CWM Hospital is expected to normlise by tomorrow morning as services are being disrupted due to turbidity issues being faced by the Water Authority of Fiji at their treatment plants.
Patients were being handed water bottles by staff earlier today while the disruption has also surgeries and patient care.
While responding to questions by fijivillage News, WAF says water trucks are refilling the tanks at the hospital.
The Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Health, Doctor Jemesa Tudravu says there is adequate backup water storage at the hospital to cater for the hospital's need.
Meanwhile, WAF says water supply is currently being disrupted for residents fed from the Tamavua and Upper Tovata water supply systems due to low treated water production influenced by high raw water turbidity, impacting their ability to maintain normal operations at these facilities.
WAF says low pressure to no water will affect high elevated areas including all residents feeding from Mead Road, Upper Samabula, Bayview Heights, Tamavua Reservoir, Namadi Heights, Princes Road, Rewa Street, Ratu Sukuna, Nailuva, Delainavesi, Tamavua, Elevated Lami areas, Panaromic, Waiqanake, Togalevu, Wrong Turn, Sakoca, Upper Khalsa, Tacirua Heights, Nagatugatu Residents next to Reservoir, Tamavua Koro, Upper Ragg, Deovji Street, Tacirua Bus, Amputch Street, Princes Road, LDS, Twomey, Bel Air Road, Dokanaisuva - Seventh Day Church Dokanaisuva to Tacirua Fijian School, Vunuleba Settlement.
Naisogo, Colo-I-Suva Crest Chicken, Princes Road, Marshall Road, Taqairua, Vunikawai, Uluibeka, Colanaivau, Valesasa, Naitaqiri Nillgrey will have no water.
