The highly anticipated art exhibition "Alchemy," featuring the works of 10 talented local artists, is set to take place at the Grand Pacific Hotel, in the Rara Lounge, from this Thursday to next Monday.
The exhibition will showcase a captivating fusion of traditional and contemporary art from ten local artists from the West and North of Fiji : Alice Hill - Hot Glass Fiji; Peter Lancaster - Lancaster Press; Filimone Koto - Hand Carved wood; Shane Bower - Imagination in Metal; Stanley Waradi – Sculptor; Lynn Mc Laren - Out of My Shed; Georgia Gremore – Artist; Lisa Philp, Sai Tawanakoro, Sandra Hiett – The Mana Clay Collective.
“Alchemy” delves into the creative manipulation of different materials such as ink, wood, clay, glass, metal, and sand.
The artwork reflects the artist's ability to transcend the ordinary, revealing the beauty within these elements.
This unique exhibition invites visitors to explore the transformative and magical process of turning raw materials into extraordinary works of art.
The art exhibition will be open to the public, free of charge, from 9am to 6pm Thursday to Sunday, and 9am to 8pm on Monday.
By featuring the work of local artists, "Alchemy" aims to inspire, provoke thought, and showcase the rich artistic talent within Fiji, highlighting the power of art to transform both materials and perspectives.
