Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka says he challenges Opposition Leader and former Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama to provide evidence for everything Bainimarama is claiming.

In a video statement, Rabuka says can Bainimarama tell them in which parts of Fiji the so called persecution is happening and how many are affected.

Rabuka further says members of the Coalition government are demanding that Bainimarama provide specific details of reports that Bainimarama has received alleging that the government has acted unconstitutionally.

The Prime Minister says if Bainimarama fails to provide the details of what he has published in his attempt to smear the image of the Coalition government, then he and those working with Bainimarama must be prepared to face the consequences within the law.

He adds there is a new spirit of freedom in the air and Bainimarama is completely out of tune with the national mood.
