Nakasava of QVS takes gold in 1,500m sub junior boys

Queen Victoria School’s Soropepeli Nakasava won the 1,500 metres sub junior boys gold medal and Resina Rabaleira of Mahatma Gandhi Memorial School has won gold.

Resina Rabaleira of Mahatma Gandhi Memorial School has won the first gold medal of the 2024 Coca Cola Games after winning the 1,500 metres sub junior girls division.

Losalini Kocawa of Napuka Secondary School settled for the silver medal while Anna Camasei of International School Suva took hme the bronze.

Meanwhile Queen Victoria School’s Soropepeli Nakasava won the 1,500 metres sub junior boys gold medal.

The 1,500 metres event is currently underway.

The 100 metres heats start at 10.33am, the 400 metres heats start at 1.20pm while the 100 metres finals start at 3.55pm today.

Vani Kutalele of Ratu Luke Memorial School from Bua wins gold and Jale Raikatalau of Ratu Kadavulevu School won gold

Vani Kutalele of Ratu Luke Memorial School from Bua is taking home the gold medal in the 1,500 metres junior girls.

Kutalele had a memorable run at the HFC Bank Stadium.

Dilewanirabe Ditukana of Ahmadiya Muslim College got the silver medal while Milika Lewairavu of MGM High settled for the bronze medal.

Jale Raikatalau of Ratu Kadavulevu School won gold in the 1,500 metres junior boys division.

Navitalai Verenakau of Saint Vincent College settled for silver while Ravishek Kumar of Nukuloa College takes home the bronze medal

Rosivela Matanimeke of Saint Vincent College in Tailevu has won gold after coming first in the 1,500 metres intermediate boys division.

Waisale Tagivetaua of Queen Victoria School settled for silver while Orisi Bukasiga walked away with the bronze medal.



Ratu Finau School receives timely sponsorship from ex-scholars

Ratu Finau Secondary School athletics team from Lakeba

The Ratu Finau Secondary School athletics team from Lakeba, Lau has received a timely boost of $2,000 for the 2024 Coca-Cola Games.

Former Fiji rep, Tevita Tuiloa handed over the funds from the ex-scholars and supporters of the school, who have a total of 12 athletes in this year’s games.

The team manager and school assistant principal, Viliame Katina says their participation has been made possible through the support from the ex-scholars.

Katina says the plan for the school this year is to balance their school curriculum with other extra curricular activities.
