Rain is expected to continue across the country throughout the weekend.
The Nadi Weather Office says a trough of low pressure is affecting the eastern half of the country.
The system caused heavy rain, lightning, and thunderstorms over Suva and Navua earlier this morning.
They say persistent heavy rain may lead to flash flooding in low-lying areas.
