A 76 percent pass rate has been recorded in the Fiji Year 12 Certificate Examination after the provisional results were released this afternoon.
This result is an improvement compared to a 74 percent pass rate in 2023.
A total of 12,858 students across Fiji sat for the exam last year.
While congratulating the students for their hard work and achievements, Minister for Education, Aseri Radrodro says the students’ dedication and perseverance amidst challenges have set a strong foundation for their future endeavours.
Radrodro also extends his sincere appreciation to all the teachers, parents and guardians who have played a crucial role in guiding and assisting students throughout their academic journey.
The Minister says this is a reflection of the hard work, resilience, and dedication of the students, teachers, principals and the school community.
Radrodro says academic performance is a testament to the effectiveness of the educational initiatives and the commitment to excellence in learning.
He has also congratulated the secondary schools that have improved their overall results.
The Education Minister has also expressed gratitude to the 3 secondary schools that achieved a 100 percent pass rate in this examination in 2024 and they include Yasawa North Secondary School, Wainimakutu Secondary School and Labasa College.
Meanwhile, three, government schools are equally commended as they improved and attained more than 95 percent pass rate in this examination and they are Bucalevu Secondary School (98%), Adi Cakobau School (98%) and Labasa College (100%).
The provisional results have been released online and can be accessed through the link www.examresults.gov.fj.
All Year 12 students can use their Examination Code Number and personal credentials to access their results.
However, students who do not have internet access can obtain the results from their respective schools or District Education Office.
Students who wish to apply for a recount or a remark can submit an application at the Examinations and Assessment Office at the Gohil Building or their nearest District Education Office within the 30-day Provisional Period.
