40-year-old charged with alleged murder of a 70-year-old man in Suva

A 40-year-old man will appear in the Suva Magistrates Court today after being charged with the alleged murder of a 70-year-old man.

It is alleged the man was under the influence of alcohol when he assaulted the elderly man at Namadai Settlement in Suva last Saturday.

Police say the victim was admitted to the CWM Hospital and passed away on Tuesday.
