Police officers are now patrolling Labasa and Savusavu towns to ensure people are not loitering around as these two towns have been closed and people have been sent home to prepare for TC Tino.
Chief of Operations, ACP Maretino Qiolevu says they have enough manpower in Vanua Levu to carry out rescue operations going into the night.
He says they are in contact with various turaga ni koros to ensure villagers move to higher grounds as TS Tino is expected to make landfall in the coastal areas of Macuata.
