The late Thomas Riley

Family and friends of a 25-year-old man from Taveuni are still in shock after hearing the news of the passing away of their son and friend in the Cook Islands.

Thomas Riley was involved in a motor bike accident on Wednesday night.

He left for Cook Islands at the end of 2017 to work at a Hotel and has not returned to visit his family since then.

Riley was returning from a UB40 concert in the Cook Islands on Wednesday night when he was involved in a road accident that took his life.

A family member has told Fijivillage that Riley was planning to visit his family next month and was excited to come and meet his two sisters newborn babies for the first time.

Riley’s body will be brought to Fiji next week.
