The Permanent Secretary for Education, Alison Burchell says the Education Ministry has finished distributing all textbooks to the Eastern, Northern and Western Division for the new school year.
Burchell says the Ministry is yet to distribute textbooks to some schools in the Central Division which they aim to finish distributing by the end of today.
The Minister for Education, Rosy Akbar had earlier confirmed that textbooks to all rural and maritime schools for the 2020 school year has been distributed.
Meanwhile, the Education Minister says the Ministry has decided to conduct a textbook audit from this year to see how many books the schools still have and the conditions the books are in as the Ministry is spending a lot of money in buying and printing textbooks.
