Building and surroundings at Suva Civic Centre Auditorium now clear of asbestos

The final tests conducted by the Employment Ministry at the Suva Civic Centre Auditorium yesterday have confirmed that the building and surroundings is now clear of asbestos.

In May this year an asbestos removal plan was formulated by Suva City Council to ensure the safe removal works of asbestos at the Civic Centre.

All access point of entry to Civic House from the New Town Hall Road and Stinson Parade Road is now open and fully accessible to the public as all asbestos material has been safely removed and cleared.
