A 56-year-old farmer from Taveuni has won a Nissan Navara worth $75,000 in the Hibiscus Text & Win promotion.
Phillip Rao was watching the Vodafone Hibiscus crowning on Saturday night when Vodafone officials contacted him and told him that he has won a Nissan Navara.
Rao says he could not believe his luck and started celebrating while talking to the Vodafone officials.
He adds that his wife and two children were in Suva and he later told them about the great news.
Rao says the new vehicle will help him in transporting his root crops.
Rao was accompanied by his wife, son and daughter when he received the vehicle in the Carpenters Motors showroom in Walubay, Suva this morning.
