Fijians can now look forward to more affordable access to technology with the opening of Tech Hub's flagship store in Suva today.

Speaking to fijivillage News, Tech Hub Director James Sharma says the flagship store is a culmination of their commitment to providing quality, affordable consumer electronics such as laptops, mobile phones and accessories.

He says Tech Hub has partnered with brands like Hoco to offer a diverse range of products, ensuring customers receive high-quality solutions tailored to their needs.

Sharma says Tech Hub began in 2022 as a home-based business and has since served over 10,000 customers.

He says the new outlet in Fiji will create new job opportunities, with 2 to 3 individuals employed at the branch.

He adds the company now operates two branches, with the new flagship store in Suva complementing their Laucala outlet.

Sharma says he sees technology as a tool that, when used properly, can empower the youth and open doors to a wide range of possibilities.

When asked about Tech Hub’s future plans, Sharma says they aim to expand further and open a branch in Vanua Levu.

While speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister for Women, Children and Social Protection Lynda Tabuya said James Sharma’s journey inspires young people.

She says Sharma shows the way to many young people—what you can achieve when you do not give up.

Tabuya says electronics empower how we connect, create, and innovate and this industry is not just a key driver of economic growth but also a space for limitless problem-solving.
