Travelling all the way to Suva for a birth, marriage, or death certificate will be a thing of the past for the people on Koro Island after a Births, Death, and Marriage Registry Office was opened at the Koro Island Post Office by the Minister for Justice Siromi Turaga.

This has also brought essential government services right to their door step.

In partnership with Post Fiji and the Ministry of Justice, villagers and residents can now print birth, marriage, and death certificates at the Post Office.

While speaking at the opening ceremony Turaga says the goal is to ensure no Fijian is left behind, regardless of where they live.

He says this initiative reflects the government's commitment to equality, accessibility, and protecting the legal rights of all citizens.

Turaga adds that the Ministry will continue working with key partners like Post Fiji to provide quality services nationwide.

The Minister stressed the importance of bringing government services directly to the people, reaffirming the ministry's dedication to making these services accessible to all Fijians.
