Communications Fiji Limited, the parent company of radio stations FM 96, Legend FM, Viti FM, Navtarang, Sargam and news website fijivillage, have signed a partnership with the Fiji Hotel Tourism Association to host the HOTEC Trade Show 2024.

Communications Fiji Limited General Manager Charles Taylor says this is not a new partnership between the two, and they are here to make it work and also have experienced people to build the trade show.

Association President Fantasha Lockington says they had decided to host the HOTEC event every two years instead of every year because it takes a lot to plan and also they feel some trends that are coming through need a lot of planning, needs more interaction with their partners and suppliers, especially those that come in from overseas.

She says it is not going to be a two-day trade show, but they will have some lead-up events, including competitions.

Trade Commissioner for New Zealand, David Dewar, says it is truly amazing to see the rebound of the Fiji Tourism sector after the pandemic.

He says they work with the New Zealand exporters to support their international growth in places like Fiji, and Fiji Tourism has become world-class.

Dewar says they are signing today an export trade promotion partnership agreement that will be going on for a few months in the lead-up to the trade show.

The Fiji Times and the New Zealand Trade and Enterprise also signed their partnerships today.
