ANZ Fiji Country Head, Saud Minam

ANZ Fiji Country Head, Saud Minam says around 70% of their customers who were under their COVID-19 packages have indicated that they are now in a position to pay their loans.

Around 2,000 loan payments have been deferred by ANZ under their COVID-19 Package until 31st December 2020.

Minam says they have had one on one consultations with their customers to find out if they are in a position to make their payments and almost 70% are ready to come back.

He says this is a good sign but trouble is still out there because most of their customers who are still unable to pay are from the Western Division.

Minam has once again stressed that they will continue to work with customers who are still unable to make their payments because the bank fully understands that the crisis is not their fault.

He adds they will not be repossessing items because no one will buy them even if they start repossession.

Minam is urging those who can still pay their loans to do so because it can be compounded on them at the end.
