More companies have signed up for Vodafone’s M-PaiSA QR Pay services.

M-PAiSA QR payment enables users to make their bill payments and pay for their shopping at selected supermarkets and stores simply by scanning the QR code which is free of charge.

Customers of the Wing Sang Limited in Samabula, The Mad Hatter Hut, Raiwaqa Bakery, Coffee Shotzz and Coffee Beans will get a 10% discount if they order or make purchases through the M-PAiSA QR Pay.

These 5 companies have signed up with Vodafone alongside companies like Cyber Food, Fiji Treehouse Boutique, The Merch, The Rotisserie and Weta Coffee.

With this signing, customers can make purchases using their M-PaiSA accounts from these outlets.

Vodafone’s Head of e-Commerce and Corporate Affairs, Shailendra Prasad says the service fee is much lesser in comparison to other service providers. Prasad says as people are struggling, a 10% savings is a lot.

He says about 82 businesses with about 520 outlets all over Fiji have so far signed up with Vodafone’s M-PaiSA platform.

The Managing Director of the Mad Hatter Hut, Ela Alefaio says they had requests from customers in overseas who wanted to surprise their loved ones in Fiji with their products – to have a platform where they can instantly do so.

Coffee Shotzz and Raiwaqa Bakery Managing Director, Salome Marama has encouraged people to take advantage of this cashless platform.

She says more people are now making purchases and paying for things digitally and now is the right time to make the transition keeping COVID-19 into account.
