The lawyer for 56-year-old Timoci Lolohea asked the Suva High Court yesterday if his client can be granted bail saying that they are willing to offer cash bail of $30,000.
High Court Judge Justice Temo told defence lawyer Abhay Singh that this is also a case of domestic violence therefore he will not be granted bail.
Singh has also sought more time from Suva High Court to go through the disclosures that was served to them by the prosecution yesterday.
The defence lawyer informed the court that he was not in Fiji and did not receive disclosures last month.
The case is adjourned till 3rd November.
Lolohea who used to run a security recruitment agency, allegedly murdered his defacto partner at Nasilivata Street in Nadera on 20th March, 2017.
The 24 year old woman, who was allegedly stabbed several times by Lolohea at the Nadera house and on the roadside, was rushed to the hospital however she was pronounced dead on arrival.
