Low-lying areas in Rakiraki flooded

Continuous heavy rain from last night has resulted in the flooding of low-lying areas in Rakiraki.

Qalau, Raiwasa, Naqoro Flats, Korotale and other feeder roads are under flood waters as the flood waters continue to rise.

Meanwhile, the Nadi Weather Office has issued a flood warning for low-lying areas as a trough of low pressure lies slow moving over Fiji.
 
Rain, heavy at times and squally thunderstorms over most places is expected.

Similar weather is expected this weekend.
