With the booming tourism industry, hotel and resort owners are having to compete to ensure visitors choose their property to stay in and are pumping in millions of dollars to upgrade facilities and accommodation.
Several major hotel operators are currently upgrading their property, and Fiji Hotel and Resort Operators Association President Dixon Seeto said competition amongst the operators is also a positive sign for the industry.
And while, hotels and resorts are currently enjoying up to 90 percent occupancy levels, Seeto said there are still many rooms to fill.
