Fiji's Josefa Vueti has claimed one of Oceania's six invitational weightlifting cards to the Beijing Games, bringing the number of Pacific Island lifters in China to 14 next month.
Other reciepients include, Sam Pera Junior of the Cook Islands, Logona Esau of Tuvalu, Tonga's Maamaloa Lolohea, Wendy Hale of the Solomon Islands and David Katoatau of Kiribati.
Oceania weightlifting Coach Paul Coffa is pleased with the recognition as most countries cannot afford to send lifters to regular international competitions.
Vueti will now accompany Makelesi Bulikiobo and Niko Verekauta from athletics, Judo's Sisilia Nasiga and Carl Probert from swimming to the Beijing Games.
