All Blacks fullback Israel Dagg will wear the number 13 jersey for the Crusaders in Friday’s Super Rugby pre-season outing against the Highlanders.
Dagg’s midfield partner Ryan Crotty will lead the side which also includes Wyatt Crockett and Luke Romano.
Blackadder is already missing Zac Guildford, who has withdrawn indefinitely from Super Rugby in a bid to resolve his alcohol issues.
Meanwhile, only two matches will be played in the opening round of the 2013 Super rugby season.
The Rebels will play Force at 8.40pm next Friday and the Brumbies will take on the Reds at 8.40pm Saturday.
