Youth development through sporting activities is the main objective for the Vanuaso 7's tournament.

Tournament Organizer Sivorosi Tora highlighted this during the launch of the Vanuaso 7s Tournament.

Tora says that nowadays many youths can be seen involved in the abuse of substances such as drugs, alcohol and yaqona.

He hopes this tournament will change the mind set of youths and help them put their time into something that will benefit them in the future.

Tora revealed that the money collected from this tournament will be used to finance the construction of their village church in Gau.

26 teams have confirmed their participation for the first ever Vanuaso 7's Tournament including Police, Wardens, Tabadamu and Uluinakau.

The Vanuaso 7's Tournament will be held on the 22nd and 23rd of next month at Ratu Cakobau Park.
