Saint Joseph Secondary School’s Helena Young will be the one to look out for in the Junior girls 100 meters at the Suva Zone 2 meet which will kick off today.
Young set a record of 12.38 seconds in the junior girls 100 metres heats last year .
The previous record was set in 2000 and stood at 12.41sec.
Yong will be taking part in the junior girls 100 metres, 200m and 4x100m relay today.
Young also broke the junior girls 200m record in a time of 25.8s smashing the 26.06s record set in 1981.
Meanwhile, Marist Brothers High School is the defending champion in the Boys Division last year wining 33 gold 19 silver and 19 bronze while Suva Grammar School won the girls competition with 18 gold, 13 silver and five bronze.
The Suva Zone 2 will kick off at 9am today at the ANZ Stadium.
