All Whites striker Chris Wood is hoping to continue his red‑hot form when they take on Fiji in FIFA World Cup qualifiers this Saturday in Lautoka.

Woods was in devastating form for his Leeds United club in England when he scored two goals against Brighton yesterday.

The 25‑year‑old, who has scored 22 goals in the second division of English Football so far this season cannot wait to reunite with the All Whites squad as they look to take another step for qualifying for Russia in 2018.

Wood has scored 18 goals in his 48 internationals for New Zealand.

Wood says they are expecting a tough challenge home and away against Fiji.

Meanwhile, All Whites Coach Anthony Hudson says he currently has the strongest squad they ever had in his tenure.

New Zealand has top players like Leeds United striker Chris Wood and Shane Smeltz and Michael McGlinchey of Wellington Phoenix.

All Whites captain Winston Reid will miss the match against Fiji after he was injured while playing for West Ham United in the English Premier League.

Fiji will play the All Whites at 1pm this Saturday at Churchill Park and you can catch the live commentary on our sister station, Radio Sargam.
