First timers in the Fiji Airways OFC Champions League, Team Wellington recorded a famous victory against Ba 2-0 in the semi finals last night.
They have secured an all‑New Zealand final against Auckland City this Sunday. Ba crashed out at the semi‑final stage for the second season running.
The Wellington side lead 2-0 at half time.
Ba side also missed a penalty in the first half after Keegan Linderboom took a casual shot which was easily saved by the Team Wellington goalkeeper.
Ba came back strongly in the second half after some players were changed however they were unable to score.
Ba coach Shalen Lal said they played according to game plan however were not lucky and adds that development from grassroots is important in Fiji to reach the standard of OFC Champions League.
In the first semi final last night defending champions Auckland City defeated FC Gaitcha 1-0.
The final between Auckland City and Team Wellington will be played at the ANZ Stadium this Sunday at 7pm.
