"We will defend the title"

These are the words of Police prop Setefano Somoca after being named as captain of the side to defend the ANZ Sukuna Bowl today.

Somoca said with the depth and caliber of players in the team he is confident of a good outcome after the final whistle this afternoon.

Police Commissioner Ben Groenewald will not be able to witness his troops defend the Sukuna Bowl title as he will be going for a meeting overseas.

Somoca said despite the Commissioner's absence, he is adamant that the players will deliver.

Police has named a star studded side which includes experienced players like Dan Ligairi, Etonia Naba, Manueli Laqai, Jock Liuta, Amani Boseinawai, Apisalome Waqatabu and Mitieli Nacagilevu.
