Navua in action in one of the previous BOG matches

The Navua soccer team has laid down the challenge to other teams taking part in the Ink Mobile Battle of the Giants tournament this weekend, stating that they should not to be counted out.

Despite being at the bottom of the National Soccer League standings, President Gopal Naidu said they are not there to make up the numbers.

Navua will be hoping to win the title they last won in 2005 and they will be banking on experienced players like Seveci Rokotakala, Sheik Moshin, Sailosi Livitalo and Vinit Chand.

Navua will take on Lautoka in their opening match at 5.30pm tomorrow.

In other matches, Labasa will play Rewa at 1pm, Nadroga will take on Suva at 3pm while Nadi will play Ba at 7.30pm.

You can catch the live commentaries of the Labasa-Rewa and Nadroga-Suva matches on our sister station, Radio Sargam.
