"We are going in as infants in the FIFA Under-20 World Cup and we can hold our heads high if we can get some credible results."
These are the words of the Technical Advisor of the Vodafone Fiji Under-20 soccer team, Frank Farina as preparations have begun to map out plans on how we will counter Germany, Uzbekistan and Honduras in the group stages.
Farina who is a former Australian soccer player and coach said they can have hopes and dreams but they also have to be realistic as they will be facing some of the best in the World.
He said the players are excited as they will experience something which nobody in the history of Fiji Football has ever experienced.
The Vodafone Fiji Under-20 soccer team will depart for Myanmar this Friday where they will play warm up matches against the Myanmar and Uzbekistan Under-20 soccer teams.
Fiji will also play some warm up matches in Malaysia.
The FIFA Under-20 World Cup will be played in New Zealand from 30th May till 20th June this year.
