Wasasala helps Babasiga Lions qualify for BOG semis

Labasa is the first team to qualify for the INKK Mobile Battle of the Giants semifinal after beating Rakiraki 4-nil at Subrail Park.

Christopher Wasasala was the star of the match as he scored three goals.

Jonetani Buksh also scored a goal for Labasa.

Coach Gurjit Singh says the players have picked up their performance.

In other results, Ba beat Dreketi 1-nil while Suva and Nadi had a 1-all draw.

Dreketi is now the first team to be out of the tournament while Nadi just needs a draw against Labasa to qualify for the semifinals tomorrow.

Suva now has a very slim chance to qualify for semifinal after their 1-all draw with Nadi today.

In the matches tomorrow, Suva will play Rakiraki at 10.30am, Lautoka will face Ba at 12.30pm, Dreketi will play Rewa at 2.30pm while Labasa will face Nadi at 4.30pm.
