Warriors skipper Roger Tuivasa‑Sheck said he and veteran players need to step up and give rookie Chanel Harris‑Tavita more assistance in their game against the Cowboys this Saturday.
The New Zealand NRL club butchered a chance to notch up their third win of the season, going down 28‑24 to the South Sydney Rabbitohs last weekend on the Sunshine Coast.
Tuivasa‑Sheck told Stuff that he and senior players should have done more to help out their young half Harris‑Tavita.
Last year's MVP Tuivasa‑Sheck, praised Harris‑Tavita's performance, saying he has quickly found his feet in first grade.
The Warriors host the North Queensland Cowboys at 7.30pm this Saturday.
