Wardens Gold has won the 2017 Martintar 7s defeating Tokatoka Wes Field 26-10 in the final this afternoon.
Wardens Gold led 12-5 at halftime with tries coming in from Sevuloni Tawake, former Natabua High School sprinter Batinisavu Uluiyata, Risiate Tadulala and Simione Ceve to secure the win at the end of the second half.
Vodafone Fiji 7s Coach Gareth Baber was also present at the tournament to choose and award Inia Rokomatu of Tokatoka Wes Field the Best Player Award.
Rokomatu scored a total of 7 tries in the 2 days of competition.
Wardens Gold walked away with $5000 prize money while Tokatoka Wes Field received $2000.
Meanwhile Wardens Gold defeated P.I.A Yasawa 19-7 in the semifinal while Tokatoka Wes Field defeated Police 19-17 in the second semifinal.
