Wales have named two new players in their squad to travel to Wellington for the third round of the World Rugby Sevens Series.
18-year-old James Botham and Elliot Frewen join head coach Gareth Williams's team, which reached the Cup semi‑finals and quarter‑finals in the first two rounds of the series in Dubai and Cape Town.
Williams says these two new caps are part of the strategy to build depth moving towards next year's Commonwealth Games and Rugby World Cup Sevens.
The Wales 7's side will have players like Morgan Williams, Owen Jenkins, Tom Williams, Ethan Davies, Lloyd Evans, Sam Cross, and James Benjamin.
Wales are pooled with Scotland, Russia and Canada.
Meanwhile, the Vodafone Fiji 7s team will play Australia in their first pool match at 10.46am next Saturday before facing Japan at 2.10pm while Fiji’s last pool match will be against South Africa at 6.18pm next Saturday.
