Fiji Bati and Roosters prop Eloni Vunakece has been forced into premature retirement after suffering 10 suspected concussions in the space of a year.
Vunakece suffered his latest head knock while playing in the New South Wales Intrust Cup for the Wyong Roos.
It was his third such injury this year and he guesses he may have had dozens of others over the course of his career.
The 31-year-old played just nine games for the Sydney Roosters in the NRL but represented the Fiji Bati over the course of 15 tests and two World Cups.
The Fijian international rose to prominence during the 2016 season when he made nine NRL appearances for the Roosters.
