Vodafone Fiji has handed out the $100,000 cheque that they recently promised to give the Vodafone Flying Fijians ahead of their first clash against England in the Rugby World Cup next Saturday.
Vodafone Fiji e-Commerce and Corporate Affairs Manager, Shailendra Prasad said they are excited to make this payment to boost the morale of the national side who are looking good to cause upsets in the Rugby World Cup.
While receiving the cheque this morning, Fiji Rugby Union CEO Radrodro Tabualevu said this money will be used for players’ allowance.
Meanwhile, today the players are going through a pool session at the British Army camp in Aldershot to recover from their win over Canada yesterday.
Head Coach John McKee said they have reviewed and done some analysis of that game and will have a training session with Georgia tonight.
McKee added that the team will be going into their official camp on Thursday.
Fiji will take on England at 7am next Saturday in the Rugby World Cup opening match in Twickenham.
