Vodafone has given $25,000 worth of sponsorship for the 2017 Vodafone Fiji Primary Schools Football Championship that will be held at Prince Charles Park from the 22nd of August.

Vodafone will also be providing jerseys for the participating teams in this year’s competition.

Fiji Primary Schools Football Association President Ami Chand says with the sponsorship they will put in every effort to see that they organize the Vodafone Fiji Primary Schools IDC in a professional manner where young and developing players will be given a chance to showcase their talents on a standard pitch.

Vodafone Fiji sponsorship manager Adriu Vakarau says the true reflection of their passion and commitment for the sport can be seen in their bid to firm‑up the foundation of football by supporting the grass‑root level of football in the country.

A total of 28 teams will take part in the boy’s Under 14 and 12 divisions this year and there will be four girls teams in the championship.
