Former All Blacks loose forward Victor Vito has been named the 2017 French Top 14 Player of the Year.
Vito who plays for French Club La Rochelle alongside Flying Fijian Flanker Levani Botia was awarded Top 14 Player of the Year after being nominated.
Vito who played 33 tests for New Zealand and eight seasons for the Hurricanes before joining La Rochelle last year, beat out fellow nominees Clermont centre Remi Lamerat and Lyon flanker Carl Fearns for the honour.
