Vodafone Fiji 7's speedster Samisoni Viriviri is focused on getting a spot in the final 12 member team for the New Zealand and Las Vegas 7's.
After his first training session with the squad this morning, Viriviri impressed coach Ben Ryan with his consistent speed, strength and communication in the field.
Ryan said he is working with Viriviri on the combinations with the different players.
Ryan added that they will only do well if they lift their performance by controlling their game.
Fiji last won the New Zealand 7's in 2010 after defeating Samoa 19-14 while New Zealand is the defending champions after thrashing South Africa 21‑0 in last year’s final.
The final 12 players will break camp after the announcement tomorrow before they rejoin camp again on Sunday afternoon.
The team will leave for New Zealand next Monday morning.
The New Zealand 7's will be held next Friday and Saturday.
Fiji is pooled with Australia, Wales and Portugal.
