India suffered a surprise loss against New Zealand in their first World Cup warm‑up match at The Oval.
Virat Kohli's side were bowled out for 179, after initially falling to 39‑4 against the new ball.
After the match, Black Caps captain Kane Williamson said facing a quality side like India and scoring some runs is always good.
Speaking on the loss Kohli later said they bowled well, adding they were going at four, 4.5 runs per over and looking at that in isolation they did well.
New Zealand's opening game in the World Cup proper is against Sri Lanka starts at 9.30pm next Saturday while India will be up against South Africa on the 5th of next month at 9.30pm.
