Top striker Iosefo Verevou is looking forward to playing alongside his elder brother, Epeli Saukuru against Solomon Islands in two International Friendlies this week.

Verevou was not considered by National Soccer Coach Christophe Gamel for the World Cup Qualifiers against New Zealand earlier this year as Gamel had classed him as overweight.

However, Verevou who is originally from Naselai, Rewa has worked on Gamel’s strict instructions and is back to wear the National jersey.

Verevou is best remembered for scoring Fiji’s lone goal through a header against Germany in the 2015 FIFA Under 20 World Cup.

Fiji will play Solomon Islands at 7pm tomorrow at the ANZ Stadium while the second match will be played at 3pm this Sunday at Churchill Park and you can catch the live commentaries of both matches on our sister station Radio Sargam.
